You didn't need a telescope to look at the lunar eclipse Sunday. It was in your backyard! The total lunar eclipse happened over Houston Sunday night. It's called the "Super Blood Wolf Moon." Stan Lee, the legendary writer, editor and publisher of Marvel Comics whose fantabulous but flawed creations made him a real-life superhero to comic-book lovers everywhere, has died. He was 95.

Horror movie fans are a special audience sub-genre. They’ll travel to drive-ins in the middle of the Mojave for a good thrill. They are especially loyal to the Halloween franchise that has been creating goosebumps, heart palpitations and heebie-jeebies for 40 years. They don’t care if the latest hike around the jack-o’-lantern is not as good as the original John Carpenter screamfest or even any kind of acceptable re-boot of that 1978 classic at all. Nor do they care if, after all these years, Jamie Lee Curtis is too long in the tooth to keep screaming her head off every time Michael Myers shows up with a brand new hatchet. He’s been burned, stabbed, shot, drowned and beheaded before, and nothing has kept him down yet.

The director of 'The Invitation' is back with an intense crime thriller.

Karyn Kusama's The Invitation is one of the best horror-thriller movies in years, and we've been waiting to see what she's coming out with next. It's Destroyer, a crime thriller starring a nearly unrecognizable Nicole Kidman in the lead role.

It has been nearly five years since Disney and Netflix teamed up to launch a suite of Marvel TV series based on characters in The Defenders, and after two seasons Iron Fist is ending its run. There's no word on whether or not the character will come to Disney's (name still TBA) streaming service when that launches, but Deadline reports what the companies said in a joint statement: "We're thankful to the fans who have watched these two seasons, and for the partnership we've shared on this series. While the series on Netflix has ended, the immortal Iron Fist will live on."

Sony’s “Venom” and Warner Bros.’ “A Star Is Born” stay atop the box office charts for another weekend, with “Venom” holding on to the top box office spot with a $34-35 million second weekend. That result for the Tom Hardy film would be a 57 percent drop from its opening weekend, consistent with the drop for most Marvel Studios films. It’s also worth noting that the drop is somewhat inflated considering “Venom” scored the biggest October opening of all-time with $80 million. A total of $30 million or higher is what Sony is looking for, as it shows that the word of mouth from hardcore Venom fans is creating interest in general audiences.

Those bold plans include: planning a new Moon landing, long-term human deployment on and around the Moon, reassertion of America's leadership in space, strengthening private space companies, and figure out how to get American astronauts to the surface of Mars.
